What name is given to the elected members of the Welsh Assembly?

In Wales, the elected representatives in the devolved parliament are called Assembly Members, abbreviated AMs. This title comes from their role as members of the Assembly, representing Welsh constituencies and scrutinising the government there. It’s distinct from MPs, who sit in the UK Parliament at Westminster, MSPs in Scotland, and MLAs in Northern Ireland. (Note: since reforms the Welsh body is now called the Senedd and members are often referred to as Senedd Members, but historically they were known as Assembly Members.)
