Where do you find Edinburgh in connection with the Scottish government?

This question checks where the Scottish government is based. The Scottish Government, which handles devolved matters for Scotland, is headquartered in Edinburgh, the country’s capital. The Scottish Parliament also sits in Edinburgh, further linking the city to Scotland’s government. By contrast, London is the UK-wide capital, not Scotland’s; Dublin is the capital of Ireland; Cardiff is the capital of Wales. So Edinburgh is the correct location associated with the Scottish government.
