Which city is known as the capital of Wales?

A capital city is the main city where a country's government and national institutions are based. For Wales, that city is Cardiff. It hosts the Welsh Government and the Senedd, making it the political and administrative heart of Wales. The other cities are capitals of the other UK nations: London is the UK’s capital, Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland, and Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland. So Cardiff is the capital of Wales.
