Which group of senior ministers sets government policy and meets weekly?

Policy direction is led by the Cabinet. This group of senior ministers, headed by the Prime Minister, meets weekly to discuss and decide government policy and to coordinate work across departments. Parliament is the law‑making body that scrutinises and debates policies; the Privy Council serves as a formal advisory body to the monarch with mainly ceremonial or administrative duties, and the Monarch's Council isn’t a standard term for a policy‑setting body. So the Cabinet is the group that sets policy on a regular, weekly basis.
