Which of the following is a responsibility of the Home Secretary?

The Home Secretary leads the Home Office, which focuses on internal affairs and keeping the country safe. A core duty is crime control and policing—setting policy to reduce crime, overseeing the police and prisons, and handling counter-terrorism efforts. This area sits with the Home Secretary, while other major areas are handled by different departments: the economy by the Treasury (Chancellor) and associated economic policies, education by the Department for Education, and defence by the Ministry of Defence. So crime is the responsibility that fits with the Home Secretary.
