Vaisakhi is a major festival in Sikhism, marking the founding of the Khalsa in 1699 when Guru Gobind Singh formally initiated the community of Sikhs. Sikhs celebrate with prayers at gurdwaras, Nagar Kirtan processions, hymns, and the sharing of a langar (free community meal). This festival holds central religious significance for Sikhs, shaping identity and practice within the faith. Because of its strong association with Sikh worship and history, the Sikh community is the best answer. Other religions have their own distinct celebrations and calendars, such as Eid or Ramadan in Islam, various Hindu festivals, and Passover or Hanukkah in Judaism.
