Which WWII film is cited as having boosted morale in Britain?

Films that boost morale during wartime show ordinary people rising to the challenge and reinforcing national resolve. In Which We Serve does exactly that by telling the story of a British merchant ship and its crew during WWII, focusing on their duty, camaraderie, and sacrifices under threat. Released in 1942, it connected audiences at home with the realities of wartime service and depicted the merchant navy as essential to Britain’s war effort, which uplifted public spirits and bolstered support for the ongoing battle. The others are more like postwar comedies or light entertainment, so they don’t carry the same immediate wartime morale message.
